What People's Say About Place

I know there are varieties of burritos, but as a Chinese, I only see two types: with rice or without rice. I checked my photos -- I have 200,000 in total -- but fewer than 20 are of burritos. They were from 7-Eleven, Chipotle, Jack in the Box, and Taco Nazo, all fast-food chains. The burrito I had from Yuca's was the only one not from a fast-food chain. The burrito I tried was the carne asada, grilled steak. Honestly, it was tasty, but the beef itself was neither tender nor juicy. It was a little hard and chewy, just ordinary carne asada. The portion was big enough that two of us shared it for lunch. It was the no-rice version, filled with pico de gallo -- the fresh raw salsa -- and soft pinto beans that made it quite filling. Good. What I mean is, it was good, very good, but I've had better carne asada. It was too lean; some fat along the edges would have made it better. It's a celebrity food booth. It was good, but I don't think it deserves the net influence.

It's a little hut set back and next door to another business...you have to know it's there...blink and you miss it. But don't. The staff are lovely and quick. The place is the sister to a great takeout by the same name in Los Feliz. The matriarch Mama passed last Dec...I knew her at the Los Feliz location... she was sweet and adorable. May she rest in peace. The food is great...bo gritle in the carne asada burrito, fice and beans inside is extra. Big enough to share. Needs salsa tho...also got the cochinitas pibil plate...some of the meat was very salty, some not so salty....happiest to find pork in my takeout container not overly salted...love the whole beans, not typical refried...love the white rice, very fluffy...big portion of protein. The little shredded salad however was wilted and limp...and I wished for some pickled red onions...to go with the carnitas...but you'll have plenty of leftovers....solid Oaxaca style eats.

Pretty good Mexican spot that has all the classics. They have a couple of tables and spots to dine in, but is mainly takeout since it is just a window to order. I got a carne asada burrito and a carnitas taco. The taco was a bit dry and not too much flavor, but was a big portion. The burrito was also decent and had more flavor. The tortillas were really soft and well wrapped.

Being a avid chef, I'm very particular of the overall quality of the food I consume. I order machaca burrito and must say every aspect of it was dubilitious!! I give it a 10 out of 1-10. Not bad for a little hole in the wall eatery.

Grade B+ (87): Got the Torta with Carne Asada, it was very good but after a few minutes the grease seemed to solidify a bit. We also got the Burger & Chili Cheese Fries the burger was ok and very affordable these days at around $6.50 but it's a regular patty that you get in any burger place, nothing too write home about. Fries are very good, next time I'm going to get the fries without chili & cheese. All in all it's ok, I will definitely come back and try the tacos and Chili Verde and I'll update.

After picking my wife from her work place we were very hungry I told my wife, I wanna try the food at Yucca not far away from her job. First the restaurant is small there's only one table available and very limited or you can eat in your car. The parking is very limited also but they share parking the store next door. We approach to the menu and we look at what looks good on their menu.. Then my wife decided to order the carne asada plate and her choice of tortilla or flour she decided to get flour tortillas. I decided to get the chicken plate and I got the flour tortillas as my wife. We got to seated they only table around but my wife decided we eat in the car I say yes. I pick-up our meal then we headed to car and eat there. I open my chicken plate looks good then I took a piece of my flour tortillas then getting some of the shredded chicken what great flavors in chicken it was tender and juicy so much flavors in chicken. The rice and the bean have a great amazing flavor in both side I really enjoy it very much. My wife enjoying her carne asada plate she say the carne asada have incredible flavor and the meat was tender great flavors in the meat. We need to go back again try different items.

If you crave home food, then this is the place. The owner greets you and treats you like one of the family. I ordered a bowl, burritos, and nachos with carne asada and there was a very short wait. They were awesome!

I've been there three times, Two different burritos and a chili chees burger today.. Definitely worth going their food is amazing..
